After reading some reviews on the LR-16, I’m wondering how trustworthy or user friendly setting the meters, really is? Looks like it could be a hassel?
After saying that, I’m wondering if the meters on the computer or running it straight to computer would give you more accurate or easier metering, especially when doing live recording using many channels to record. My follow-up question would now be–How powerful of a CPU and or mother board, etc. would you need, not to start dropping audio? I have an HP, Elitebook i5 with 16 gigs of RAM, but the processor is only 2.50G Hz. Marc Trainor

    Hi

Yes, the metering is better when used as an interface. Your machine should be fast enough provided you perform basic windows optimization that is readily found on the Internet.

While the metering isn’t high resolution it certainly can depict clipping in standalone mode and I can usually hear the clipping in the headphone mix…and use the pad if necessary.
