During playlist creation you’ll have 3 options to set “start mode” for the song(s) in the playlist.
In your case please set up the “wait for button press” option. In this case when the playback is over, the next song from the playlist gets preloaded and waiting for the trigger signal, which can be “play button” or “footswitch”
