Thanks , but no. After spending $399 on the LR-16, and then another $100 on this external hard drive, I didn’t really have any left over cash to try another hard drive.
However, after watching the unit do nothing for 40 minutes, I finally just shut it off and let it sit. After a minute or so I powered up again, then plugged in the external drive, and the LR-16 suddenly gave me all the info on the drive and it was ready to go.
Just to be safe, I went to the menu and formatted the drive again, and this time it only took a couple of minutes and I was up and running.
