You were right, the routing to the card for the internal channels was wrong which explains everything. In the panic of the moment during a tight setup schedule, I overlooked these settings, concentrating on the sound check, not the recording.
I have tested and recorded to the XTrack after setting the correct rerouting and everything recorded fine. I mentioned in an earlier post in the Suggestions section a wish for signal presence indicators similar to level meters, and this is a classic example of why.
