Hi there forum members, newbie here!!
A LR16 seems to be just what I need, havinge read and viewed all I can find on the net.
I have a Windows 7 PC, an ipad IOS7, big variety of mikes, 2mixers (Mackie DFX12 + Peavey 24FX) and Eris 5 monitors. Just need something like LR16 some cables and recording software. At sub £400GBP price point I can find nothing to compare.
Projected use for home studio, duo/trio/band practice/ rehearsal and recording, occasional mobile recording, as simultaneous musician and pseudo engineer.
Question 1. As I have no recording software for editing, what works best currently with a LR16 ( ease of use, results and affordable suggestions), no preferences, just something that works easily with perhaps advanced options..
Question 2. USB thumb drive recommendations
Thanks in advance for all replies28th November 2015 at 01:26 #26601Tom SailorParticipant
Hi and Welcome!
There are a myriad of DAW choices out there depending on your budget.
Free/Donation apps like Reaper and Audacity
Budget DAW- I like Magix Music Studio is pretty tough to beat for $49
Don’t recommend thumb drives! I use a Seagate Backup Plus 1TB USB drive28th November 2015 at 02:49 #26603John BanwellParticipant
Thanks Cymatic USA for your quick reply.
Q.2 answered (suggested Seagate affordable and probably added to Xmas present list!!)
Still pondering over software, heading towards Reaper.
