I’m looking for a multi channel hard disc player for an art exhibition.
My question about the uTrack24 is: can I use the “Auto Play on start up” function and having the machine to loop 40 minutes of 24 track music for a whole day? And then have a timer that switch of the power in the evening. Restarting the uTrack24 in the morning so that it starts playing the loop again for another 10 hour next day, and so on…?Best,

You can do all what you have mentioned, except for switching off the device based on a timer. You would have to do that manually or automate it externally.
You can do a setup, so that when you just switch ON the device, it loads the auto playlist and starts playback of the playlist automatically.So, the machine remembers the loop points even if I turn of the power? I don’t have to set lopp points again after power down? When I read the manual this is very unclear. It’s important to me that the machine remebers the loop if it is turnd off and then on again the next day.
When you say, about the timer function, that I have to automate it externally. Do you mean by having a power timer turning the machine on and off?

The device allows you to loop between points within a song, but it does not remember the loop points after a restart.
But the solution for you is to create a song with only the audio that you want to loop. Then you put it into an autoplaylist and you are good to go.
You are right about the power timer.
