ParticipantPlease can we have some action on better MIDI support. send MIDI clock, send MTC. Every MIDI file player has to be able to send MIDI clocks. It needs MIDI clocks to keep downstream music devices in sync, and it needs MTC for lighting controllers.
MIDI control for start/stop/select is also a must have.
Finally, it would be nice if the unit could chase MTC too, so one can have several of these units stacked up.
I don’t think any of these requests are new, but there just seems to be no action. I don’t think Cynatic understands that by coding up these facilities the marketplace for the player will grow significantly. Currently, the LP16 is a “dead end” box, it isn’t part of a system, but by having timing then it can be part of a system, and thus of interest to folks who run other music making kit. Not to mention other uses such as museums, interactive art exhibitions, all of which use devices like the LP16, but cant use the LP 16, as it wont be part of a bigger system.
So this is a plea on behalf of many people to please get some movement on these essential facilities. I have 500 Euro literally sitting here to buy one of these the second the LP16 becomes useful, and I’m sure I’m not alone.
Thanks for listening.
