ParticipantI was considering getting an audioLAN card for uTrack24, but I just noticed this in the manual section 18.10:
“When the uTrack24 is used as an interface device, the AudioLan option is available in the settings menu, allowing
you to choose if the card should work as Input or as Output. ”Does that mean that when connected to a computer via AudioLAN the uTrack cannot be used as audio input and audio output at the same time? You have to choose only one direction of audio?
That limitation does not exist for USB, correct? Why for AudioLAN?

KeymasterHi,
The AudioLan card offers only one direction in the same time because of the limited resource of the device.

[/quote]How do you mean USB? Playback or recording from USB? If yes in this case the same limitation true playback from OR recording to USB

ParticipantI did not mean recording from USB, I meant in computer interface mode, when the uTrack is used as an audio interface for a DAW rather than a stand alone recording device. In computer interface mode the uTrack can convert to and from analog simultaneously, correct?
In case my question was not clear, I understand that the uTrack cannot record and playback at the same time, I was asking only about the behavior when used in computer interface mode.2nd February 2018 at 18:22 #29417Laszlo
KeymasterHi,
Unfortunately in USB interface mode as well the the AudioLan card can send OR receive signals. This is the only expansion card for the uTrack24 which provide one way communication in USB interface mode.

ParticipantI’m sorry, I think my wording was not clear, I only used USB interface mode as an example for comparison.
When operating as a computer interface in USB mode, uTrack can connect analog input and analog output to a computer (or iPad) simultaneously, correct?
When operating in computer interface mode with AudioLAN connection, can uTrack connect analog input and analog output to AudioLAN network simultaneously? No USB involved when AudioLAN is in use.

So if you are using Analog I/O or any other expansion card you’ll have two direction (send and receive) if you are using the device in USB interface mode, but this is not true for the AudioLan card (send OR receive only)
