ParticipantI found REAPER DAW via the Cymatic audio website. They, I’m assuming Cymatic engineers or forum representatives, suggested that REAPER would be a suitable multi-tracking recording solution, but didn’t go into any details regarding compatibility with the hardware.
Does anyone here have experience using the Live Recorder LR-16 with the REAPER DAW – specifically utilizing the LR-16 ASIO driver to fully multitrack all 16 tracks in real time? I’ve been having a heck of a time with it. Keep getting ASIO errors in REAPER.
See this post on the REAPER compatibility forum for a LOT more detail: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=164187
If this goes no where I will probably log a support ticket.

KeymasterHi Smith,
Unfortunately the Windows version of Reaper have compatibility issue with LR-16.
This is a known issue at the moment I cannot say we will be able to solve this issue or not.27th July 2015 at 18:34 #26297john

Currently the LR-16 works great tracking directly to a USB flash drive. Would have loved to have used it as a direct USB interface with REAPER or something comparable. Are there any windows-based DAWs that will work with the LR-16 as a true multi-track real time recording solution?
I would rather just not have functionality than own an apple product. I’m not subscribing to the “need apple products to do anything multimedia” mentality.

KeymasterThe Cubase, and the ProTools also working well with the LR-16.
Unfortunately it seems the Reaper the only DAW which have this compatibility issue.30th July 2015 at 17:13 #26308Laszlo
KeymasterGood news!
The Reaper compatibility finally solved with the new driver for LR-16.
Please find the new driver (v6.17.1) in the download section of LR-16. - AuthorPosts
