Hey! Sorry if this has already been covered. I did some digging through past posts and couldn’t find anything asking this particular question. I know a lot of you are using midi files with the LP16 to control program changes on guitar rigs / synths / etc. I started programing PC changes in Ableton 11 to control an external synth patches. To do this i was splitting midi regions and making a program change selection on each clip. I was planning to consolidate all the midi clips at the end of programing them and exporting that 1 midi file assuming that PC data would be retained after consolidating. Turns out Ableton only supports 1 PC assignment per midi clip, so when i consolidate the clips the PC data is lost. What DAWs are you guys using to program your PC change data that you later export and load into the LP16?

Just to be as clear as possible. Im programing an analog video synth that i need to change programs as often as every 5 seconds and multiple times per song.

I’m using Logic Pro X for programming MIDI, but I have done this in Ableton as well so it’s possible.

I’m not completely sure what you’re trying to do. Do you have one single device to be controlled with different program changes throughout the length of the songs?
