ParticipantI have Behringer X32 mixers and would like to record to say, the U24 directly from the USB port. Is this a possibility or am I thinking in the wrong direction?
I would like to stay digital throughout avoiding the analogue in/outs.
Thank you for any help on this

GuestDear foodradio,
Unfortunately this wont be possible. I am not 100% familiar with the X32 but I suppose the USB port on the X32 can be used to connect it to a PC/Mac in order to use it as a USB interface. The good news is that we are soon releasing a MADI card for the uTrack 24 (Q2) and since there is also a MADI card for the X32 this might be an option for you if you want to avoid the analogue ins/outs.

ParticipantThan you Sven, the MADI card would almost certainly be the answer. When do you think this will be available?

ParticipantThanks for the information, I shall wait patiently for this and hopefully get my system up and running. The X32 rack mixer and U24 in a portable rack case will be a powerful combination.

ParticipantHello Sven,
Any other cards to be releases besides the Madi card?

GuestHi,
There will most likely be additional digital add-on cards for the uTrack 24. We haven’t decided on which digital I/O card to do next – we will decide based on market requirements. What digital format are you looking for?Sven

ParticipantI have an X32 and I am looking for live record system. If I install Madi card for X32 and purchase the U24 with a Madi card, it looks like I am good to go.
The question I have is: Is there a matrix or function to tell the U24 what channels I want to use of X32 and to which tracks?
Have not used Madi, so I am newbie. I have been using the default card that comes standard with X32 and have multi tracked to 32 channels on Mac using a DAW. Since U24 is only 24 tracks, there must be away to assign channels to tracks.14th April 2015 at 13:33 #25941Chetan
ParticipantIn the settings menu you shall be able to choose uTrack inputs which are combined into blocks of 8. Each of the three 8 block uTrack inputs(1-8, 9-16. 17-24) can be assigned to either their respective analog inputs or any of the digital Madi input blocks (1-8, 9-16, 17-24, 25-32, 33-40, 41-48, 49-56, 57-64)

ParticipantI was told by one of your reps that you are working on a recording card for X-32.
Not sure if you are willing to answer this, but I have to ask: Is that correct?
I certainly would vote for such a product and bet that there are many others out there that would welcome it as well!29th May 2015 at 00:57 #26078Brian Sanderson
ParticipantI am an X32 user and posed some questions a couple of months ago. I was told soon that they were coming out with a MADI card for Cymatic u24.
So when they roll that out, you would need to purchase a MADI card for X32, presently they provide by default a firewire/USB card.
So I figure to get u24+Madi and X32 Madi card, cost to us is around(not knowing street cost of Cymatic Madi card) would be $16503rd June 2015 at 21:16 #26081Larry
