ParticipantHello,
I have purchased the LR-16 and a external Hard Disk for recording. When connecting the Hard Disk to LR-16 the message “Disk Error!” is displayed.
I checked the Hard Disk with my laptop and my TV-Set as well. Both worked together.
Any ideas about the problem?I tried 2different USB-Sticks as well but they were considered to be “Too slow” by the LR-16.
Greetings from Germany
Mike

ParticipantDear Laszlo,
thanx a lot for the fast answer.
The Disk is a ” INTENSO Memory Board Gun 1.5 TB 2.5 Zoll extern”.
I purchased the LR-16 just a few days ago so i think that the Firmware must be the newest.
Unfortunately I have no Access to our Studio until thursday next week. So I am not able to look for the actual Firmware.Mike

KeymasterHi Mike,
Unfortunately in this case I almost sure the firmware are not up to date on your device because the factory never programed the latest fimware release.
Please check when you have the device in your hand. You can see the firmware version on the display when you turn it on the device (4 or 5 digit number)
Please update the firmware on the LR-16 then try the disk, once when the device able to mount the drive please format the drive wiht the LR-16 before you start to using the device. That’s important, because we using special allocation unit size during formatting the drive.I looking forward for your feedback.

Yesterday I tried another HD (an older one with 250GB). It was formatted by LR-16 and works as well with LR-16 and my PC.
But I would still prefer that it works with the new HD….Greets

KeymasterHi,
I assume if the drive detected succesfully somehow does not receive the proper drive letter.
In the disk management tool try to assign drive letter manualy to the drive.
