I expereinced some strange behaviour after upgrading my uTrack 24 to the latest firmware version.
Original firmware was so old that I had to first upgrade to FW 3124 and then finally to FW rev. 3474. All that went without a glitch.
But I experience the following behaviour of uTrack24 now:
After loading the Playlist (rehearsal) and starting the first song I get the following error message: “Song Play Error /Settings File Error”
Skipping to the next song and press “Play” starts the FULL Song arrangement, even playing the muted tracks!. Press “Stop” and “Play” again, the same Song starts now to play the “programmed” arrangement, muted tracks are now being muted
Any ideas here?

our uTrack 24 became currently useless using the latest firmware. We re-exported, we re-arranged, we reformated the drive, re-created new playlists – we re-did anything, possible but the uTrack acts quite strange. It can be seen on the iPad using uRemote when you select a song (either direct on the uTrack or via uRemote on the iPad) that some tracks are muted as supposed to be and programmed – OR the uTrack ignores the mutes and is playing all tracks! You can then Stop and Restart and you see that NOW some tracks are muted again. This happens VERY randomly and I am out of ideas where it could come from1st March 2017 at 17:31 #28082LaszloKeymaster
We are not able to reproduce this issue.
Does the first problem already solved by re-exporting the content? (“Song Play Error /Settings File Error”)
To reproduce the issue and find a solution we need to have your content from your USB drive
I’ll send you a dropbox invitation please zip your song(s) and playlist(s) with containing folders and subfolders then upload to the dropbox folder. Please also send us a step by step instructions how to reproduce the issue we’ll update you about our findings.

Update about the “Mute” issue
It is totally unpredictable when and why the “no mute” in the song situation occurs. It runs OK for say 10 songs and then the next song has suddely no mutes at all. You can see this easily with uRemote on iPad whether mutes are active or not. It is clearly NOT an individual Song issue. If no mutes appear on the next song, you can then either start the song, stop the song right away and restart again (THEN the mutes are loaded correctly) or simply re-load the song.
We also changed Play mode (Continious, Single, Shuffle) with no change. Sometimes Mutes are on – sometimes not.
Another annoyance is the behaviour of iPad uRemote app.
Only Play, Stop, Fader and Mutes (in Mixer mode) do work. All others like Skip forward, Skip backword, Slide timeline and particular Cycle on/off/play etc, only work once a day- if lucky, but mostly are greyed out completely. They would be usefull but we cannot identify WHEN they are functioning.
But the unpredictability of the Mute situation is the most urgent case. Particular as we facing a gig in near future and don’t want to hear accidently lead vocals and drums also from PA from uTrack 🙂

Dear Support team,
do we have any progress on the Playlist Mute (no Mute) issue meanwhile?
I am asking because as already said: we face a gig at end of the month and currently are unable to use the uTrack24 in the current stage.
Another option: As the uTrack 24 was more reliable working with the older firmware version 2469: Where can I download the older versions (2469) for uTrack 24 from and can the older firmware be applied (downgrade) to the device?

Meanwhile I was asked from Support to upload the 8GB disk image. The link I received was only for DOWNload. I told Support that I am not able to upload. But since then – total silence from Cymatic.
Because of this dissatisfying support situation (if Lazslo is not in, there is nearly no progress on calls!) we decided to workaround the situation with Mutes/No Mutes in Playlists by creating complete new multitracks without the tracks to mute.
But that is NOT what the device should be doing. So the problem is still there and the uTrack 24 is too expansive to just act as a multitrack player like an iPod

It seems that all the replies sent from Cymatic were somehow stuck on the sending path of our mail server. There were 3 replies from us and we kept wondering why we did not hear back from you. Should have figured out something was going wrong there. Extremely sorry for that.
We were able to download the songs, figure out the mistake and also did a hotfix for the issue. Laszlo will send you the chain of mails that was initially meant to be sent to you.
Thanks for the patience and sorry for the mess up with the mail server.
