ParticipantHello,
I received my LR16 this week and so far am really happy with it.
I have a couple of questions though.1/ When the unit starts up, for a few second it makes sounds… almost as if there was an internal hard drive spinning. Is this normal ?
2/ The firmware version show on start up is 8520… but according to this site, the latest version is 83859 ! Thats a big difference ! Is my version very old or am I missing something ?Cheers !

ParticipantThere are no moving parts in the LR-16 and I have never heard a sound.

Yes you can update the unit.

Participantok, so now I have downloaded the latest firmware (on MacOSX 10.10.5)… I now have an application called “Cymatic Downloader LR16_83859” with “Available firmware Update(s)” empty list and “Connected Device” empty list. And ? What should I do next ? I cannot find any further info either in the manual or on the website.
The device is connected , I can see it in both Logic and the Audio MIDI setup.
Cheers

KeymasterHi wolfhound,
Sorry I overlooked your message somehow.
Please turn off the LP-16, connect to the MAC, then start the updater.
Turn it on the LP-16 the updater sould detect the LP-16 properly. Please make sure you have no storage device connected to the LP-16 during the update. - AuthorPosts
