ParticipantHello,
Hoping someone can help me with this issue I am having
I have the LR-16 and I have been enjoying it to a degree. the issues I am having are as followed:When using a buss powered usb drive, sometimes it will recognize it and others it doesn’t, when it does I have 99 dropouts after 2 hours of using it. it is a Glyph Studio Mini 500 Gig.
When recording to a different hard drive it shows that it is recording, ( I use to record our sermons at church) it shows that it is recording fine, showing the 3 flashing indicators on lcd that it is recording. When I hit stop after it is done it stops and when I try to play it back it says file empty.
I am now trying to upgrade firmware I am using Mac OSX 10.9.5 with downloader 2.0 and trying to upgrade to newest version. it shows that the device is there I hit start download then with in 30 seconds it says device not connected, please connect device, but the lr-16 still stays firmware upgrade do not switch off.
Its all been frustrating, It seems like that the firmware would fix issue and I can’t even get that to fix it.
thanks for any help

KeymasterHi Josiah,
The Glyph drives “officially” not supported on LR-16 and LP-16.
During the tests we had better result on RAID1 mode.
The first step you need to update the LR-16 to the latest firmware release 83859.
Couple of user already reported firware update problems on OSX platform, we already investigating the problem, which unfortunately not reporducable problem in our test lab.
If you have windows PC please do a firmware update on this PC. (You’ll need to install the driver first)
When you ready with the firmware update, please format your HDD with the LR-16. This is important because our recording devices using special allocation unit size during formatting the drive which provide better performance in audio recording. - AuthorPosts
