ParticipantI have a uTrack24. I can connect and control my uTrack24 using uRemote, however the forward and reverse buttons are NOT functional. I must actually walk to the device and press the physical buttons. The button are greyed out on the uRemote interface. I am running the latest version of uRemote and it’s unclear why this feature is not functional.
Any assistance is appreciated.
NOTE:The I am using the uTrack24 with a Multi-Track Playlist.
Thanks,
Bob

KeymasterHi Bob,
uRemote prevents accidental interruption of playback in playlist mode.
The skip back skip forward buttons are disabled, but you are able to change the song if the device in idle state by push and hold down any item in the playlist screen.23rd November 2018 at 06:07 #43271Bob Barnes
ParticipantThanks for the response Laszlo,
That’s unfortunate that this feature is disabled. We use the uTrack24 to “play to track” and when rehearsing, we go through our set list (Play List), and often times decide to replay a song. It’s a bit inconvenient to have to walk over to the rack to mange this when I have a computer right in front of me with the ability to control the uTrack. Why not at least allow for skip forward and back when the device is idle (waiting to play the next tune)? Or allow the user to enable/disable?
This “feature” is not described in your manual (at least not that I could find). We were a bit baffled when we could not control the forward and back feature when we had controls to do so sitting right in front of us. We were convinced it had to be a bug. We tried the app on our phones, iPad and Mac all with the same result (now I know why). But at the time we invested a bunch of time trying to figure out why the uRemote appeared not to be fully functional.
I hope you’ll consider an update at some point in the future.
Thanks for you consideration,
Bob

KeymasterHey Bob,
In my previous message described how to change the song using uRemote, so you don’t need to walk to the rack.
In the uRemote user manual page12 you can find detailed instructions about the playlist mode:6. Remaining Songs List:
Is the list of songs in the current playlist, listed according to their playback order. During playback, press and hold an item in the remaining songs list; to make it the “Next Song” for playback. In idle, doing the same will set the selected song as the current song.I hope this helps

Participant“uRemote prevents accidental interruption of playback in playlist mode.”???
Why don’t you have the same controls on the forward and reverse buttons as you do on the stop button??? You know…press the button and a screen pops up saying “are you sure you want to go to next song?”…instead you have to press and hold the song in the list that is about 1/8” tall on a phone screen! Sharpen your index finger before doing this…lol……Nice unit you guys make but some clunky controls and help manuals…. - AuthorPosts
