I just bought the LP16, set up all my backing tracks through the utool and loaded onto a USB. When I play back the songs each channel sounds distorted, low quality and is at a very low volume. I think it may be a sample rate issue, at least that’s the only thing it sounds similar too. The songs have been bounced at 44.1 Khz, is there a chance that the LP-16 is configured at 48 Khz and that I need to switch it to 44.1Khz? i couldn’t find anything in the manual or on this forum.
I also had trouble exporting the songs directly to my USB and had to export them locally and then copy the ‘Recording’ folder to the USB. I have listened to the audio files on the USB and they sound correct.
I don’t know what to do, has anyone else had a problem like this??? Is there a tech support number I can call? Is my LP-16 damaged?

Please let me know what firmware running on your LP-16? (where you turning on the device it displays a 4 or 5 digit number) The current version LP-16 Firmware 83934 (Sept. 2016) please update if you have different version.
What is the uTool version are you using? The current version uTool v2.0.55 (Mar, 2017) please update if you have older.
The sample rate cannot be a problem because the LP-16 reads the value from the settings file (which created by uTool) then automatically sets the sample rate to the correct one. –> You can check that in the uTool. (if your source files 44.1kHz you can create the song in 44.1kHz)
Did you try to change the mixer levels in uTool during the song creation? (if you change the mixer parameters the song have to be re-exported to the USB drive again to apply the new values on the song)
Do you hear that distortion with any song?
Do you hear that distortion in the headphones output as well?
What is your output connection? What kind of cable connected to the LP-16 (balanced or unbalanced)?
Where is your LP-16 outputs are connected? (what is the receiver device)
Could you please check your device with the demo songs? https://cymaticaudio.com/demo19th April 2017 at 18:27 #28249
There is distortion on every track and in the headphones. It’s is abnormally quiet even with the volume all the way up on the headphones. I will check the firmware now.19th April 2017 at 19:53 #28250
I Have tried to update the Firmware but the Cymatic Downloader is not picking up my unit. The LP16 say USB Interface mode and the Cymatic Downloader says no devices found. Very frustrating… this whole experience has just been one thing after another.20th April 2017 at 09:40 #28251LaszloKeymaster
I’m sorry to hear that.
If you still have an issue with the LP-16 please answer my first message, including your OS on your computer.
