    Hi All

I’m using a uTrack24 and I am desperately trying to find out the best way to run a DMX lighting rig alongside backing tracks without the use of a laptap in a live situation!

I am currently looking at the “DecaBox MIDI to DMX Converter” as an option but if there is a better suggestion please do let me know.
The plan would be to pre-program the lights using MIDI on either logic X or Ableton, then export the those MIDI files to the uTrack24 and take the MIDI-output straight into the “DecaBox MIDI to DMX Converter” which should in theory produce the programmed lights.

If there is any advice you can give it would be greatly appreciated as I do not know for certain if this will work.

Hi Alex, I wouldn’t hold your dreary for Cymatic to reply to you as they never will, I think they are closed down now as all emails etc are ignored.
To be honest, I looked for the same idea as you are for my lighting rig. I found the DecaBox to be limiting and not use friendly (and difficult get hold of). I ended up buying DMXIS and a pen old Microsoft surface pro to run it. It works great and is very easy to setup, program and to use.
