im having trouble installing drivers

hi there
im using windows 7. i downloaded the driver package from the website and installed it. it demanded that i download some software from microsoft so i did.
but when i was asked to reconnect the lr 16 during the installation i got “Windows requires a digitally signed driver”/
the screen shows USB INTERFACE MODE but im not getting it on the mixerpannel.
(the usb button is going on and off and device name is “not connected”
