ParticipantHello,
I would like to know if is possible to connect my iPad with LP-16 directly and use my iPad as a control interface (i.e. for start play or stop play, jump to certain position in song etc.) for my multi-track songs. (so the LP-16 will be something like a soundcard with pack outputs). And if it is possible, is there some example or tutorial where I can see it in practice ?
Thank you.

KeymasterHi chim_chim,
Unfortunately that is not possible. You cannot control the LP-16 transport functions from iPad.
You can do that on uTrack24 using uRemote.7th July 2016 at 17:13 #27217Luki

thank you for your hint. So if I understand it well, I can have my own list of multi-track songs saved in my iPad (in uRemote application) and I can simply play my songs via iPad (and song tracks will be routed to appropriate outputs on uTrack). Am I right ? I guess it is not difficult to import tracks and make the songs from them in uRemote application. But is there a possibility to have more than 1 multi-track song saved in uRemote app ?

KeymasterHi,
Not really.
You can have the content (playlist and/or Multitrack/Stereo content) on the USB drive (the content must be created with uTool content editor) then you need to connect the USB drive to the uTrack24 (player/recorder). You can connect the uRemote remote app (android, ios using wifi or osx, windows using wifi or wired network connection) and you can playback the content from the drive on the uTrack24 multi channel analog or digital outputs. But I think i misunderstood your previous question, I thought you want to remote control the LP-16 from your iPad.
But there’s some kind of solution what you can do directly from iPad, please take a look for the user manual 15.4 section, this can work with Auria app, but in this case the LP-16 working as an analog I/O interface, and you cannot benefit the reliable playback function from USB drive, the content must be on your iPad https://cymaticaudio.com/images/downloads/manuals_and_brochures/LP16_ProductManual_EN.pdf8th July 2016 at 10:02 #27219Luki
ParticipantYes, I saw that page (very short topic in the manual btw 🙂 ) and that´s why I asked my question. I didn´t find any example or tutorial how to realize that on the internet but I think you told me what I wanted to know. Thank you.

InactiveHi!
I had the same problem and changed to “bandhelper” on I-Pad. LP-16 is only for backup.
Long time ago it was discussed in this forum to make LP-16 midi-out-enabled. But it seems that did not
come.
U-Track is a kind of solution where i have to pay 50% of technik i did not need. So bandhelper (for me) is the cheaper
and better way. And i have a backup too. - AuthorPosts
