I’m soon about to try out my LR-16 for the first time and now I will need to get myself a hard drive to record to

But almost all hard drives nowadays are USB 3.0……..

Does that work with the LR-16? Because it says it needs “USB 2.0” in the specs… 🙁

Also, I suppose a 7200 rpm drive is preferred over a 5400 rpm drive, but that’s also hard to find a 7200 rpm drive… All of those I can find are discontinued 🙁

    Hi Cederick,

The USB 3.0 drives are compatible with LR-16.
You can use 5400 and 7200 rpm HDD’s both of them should work without problem.
For the better performance please make sure the LR-16 up to date (LR-16 Firmware 83859) then format your HDD with LR-16 before start your first recording to the HDD.
