ParticipantI was hoping someone has some experience / advice using the MADI option card. I use my uTrack34 for mobile live recording, and was thinking about adding the MADI card to connect an Antelope Orion to use those converters. Anyone done this or something similiar? Any difference between optical or BNC connections?
Also, I wouldn’t want to jeopardize the stability of the uTrack24. Not sure if using external convertors would compromise the more or less “bullet proof” design of the uTrack24.

KeymasterHi David,
Sorry for the late reply.
To use the coaxial or optical is depends on what do you have on the another side of the sigal flow, and how long is the cable. Both connector provides you the same options.
The coaxial connectors use BNC style connectors running at 75-Ohm impedance, and can be used with cables up to 100 meters in length.
The optical connectors use a Duplex SC style fiber connector, and can be used with cables up to 2000 m cable length.
Those connectors are hard wired internally which means if you feed any of the input connectors you can go out on both type of output connectors to daisy chane your next device. - AuthorPosts
