ParticipantHello!
I am thinking about buying a Cymatic Live Player 16… alternatively the uTRack 24 but it seems a bit too much for my needs.
This is really all what we need:
1. Clicktrack for the drummer
2. Backingtracks for the FOH in stereo (just some choirs, and occasional octave for guitar melodies instead of using pitch pedal)
3. MIDI to change channels / effects on my and my buddies guitar amps = Kemper respektive Fractal Ax8SO NOW IS THE BIG QUESTION!
We have two guitar amps. Can the Cymatic Live Player 16 play several midi tracks?
We have right now one midi track set to channel 14 and one to channel 13.
My Kemper has global channel 14 and my buddies Ax8 has channel 13.The midi sends PROGRAM CHANGES. Can the Cymatic Player send PCs?
Also, how does tempo changes work?
Some songs changes tempo, how will the midi know the tempo changes from for example 130bpm to 160bpm?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

ParticipantYou should be fine. A single MIDI file can send info on all 16 midi channels. I’m using mine to control 2 guitar preamps and a lighting controller.

ParticipantThanks, I just got my LP16 at home and it works wonderfully! SUPER GREAT!!!
But I cannot change songs in the same playlist! It just skips seconds 🙁
I made a thread about it… please help if you know!

ParticipantPress the up and down arrow keys to go through the songs when you’re in a playlist. If you have already started a song you want to skip, you have to press the stop button twice before the up and down arrow keys will work. That’s what I figured out while playing around with it the other night.

ParticipantThanks, that works.
BUT NEW PROBLEM…
I get “song playback failed” on 2nd song! First song works but 2nd says “SONG PLAYBACK FAILED”

Hi guys,
I’ve almost the same Rig. We have the LP-16 and 2 Kemper Amps.
In StudioOne3 we have 2 Midi Tracks for each Kemper like this:1) MIDI CHANNEL 1 Programm Change
2) MIDI CHANNEL 1 Wahwah (MODULATION)
3) MIDI CHANNEL 2 Programm Change
4) MIDI CHANNEL 2 Wahwah (MODULATION)I can just load one Midi track into the LP-16.
How do you put these Midi Tracks together?
I’ve problems with the Programm Change…
I’d be glad if you help me =)thanks

Participant@Patrick Export your midi out of studio one as a multrack midi, in pro tools it takes all midi in the entire session and combines it, ahve the appropriate midi channels set on the midi channels though, it does remember them.
Can someone help me with the light programming set up? @ Todd?
