ParticipantDoes the LP-16 send out tempo data from the midi file over the midi connection? I’m trying it now and the device I have hooked up to it (a Kemper Profiler) doesn’t seem to be receiving midi tempos.

GuestHello Soage,
The LP-16 is only interpreting the tempo information contained in the file for playback but not sending it out of the midi port. This might be something for future releases…Regards,

ParticipantAh, thanks for explaining. This would be a great feature for a future update, as it would enable synchronized delays etc. in connected effects processors.

ParticipantI agree on that one . If you ad midi tempo or midi clock to the midi out – all of a sudden a whole new world of possibilities emerges and the LP 16 becomes complete (that and fast forward & rewind)

ParticipantYes this would really be a dream come true. At the moment I’m using a Midipal in my rack to send midi clock to all my gear. But then I always have change the tempo from song to song. If I could generate a midi track in Logic and then put it on the LP-16 then that would solve my problem and the midi clock would be set to every song that I run in the LP-16. Does anybody know how to do this in Logic…

ParticipantSo, I need to use another MIDI controller to run all my equipment? I thought that the LP-16 MIDI file within the unit could do all that without spending another $200.00 for a MIDI controller! Maxiboy70 if you don’t mind me asking, how do you hook up the LP-16 to MIDI pal to get your gear to work?

ParticipantWell I am not using the LP-16 with my midi pal. I use my midi pal with my rack at the moment. I have it in the beginning of my midi chain and when I turn it on all the gear after it gets a midi clock signal. You can do the same thing with your recording daw like Logic for example.
So I haven’t found any way that I can hook up the LP-16 to midi. My goal is to be able to make a midi track in my recording program (logic) and then put it on the midi track on the LP-16. But I haven’t found any way to do it yet so if you know of any way to do this then please let me know…

Participantunfortunately, I don’t know how either. I have sent a few messages in this forum and I just get vague answers. I’m still looking and trying to find the answers or good videos on the subject.
