Hi can the LP 16 player play midifiles without placing an audio file in a folder to sync with. In other words can it be used as a midifile player. Also do midi files have to be in 0 or 1 format or can the be either?
Unfortunately that’s not possible. But if you put one channel track (can be silent track) to next to the midi file (use the uTool for exportinng the song) that should be working. You can easily can generate empty mono file ie with the Audacity. Please make sure, the audio file is a same length with your MIDI file, because the playback will be stop at the end of the audio file.
How does the LP16 determine the tempo of the MIDI file using this method? Does it use the tempo map in the MIDI file or the length of the empty wav file?
