    The manual is not overly verbose describing the foot-switch itself or what panel button it emulates when in “Play and Pause” mode.

    Is the foot switch that we purchase to be a “momentary contact”-type switch, normally open?

    Also, in “Play and Pause” mode, does the second press STOP (go out of PAUSE mode) the play back or CONTINUE play of the current song?

    Hi

    There”s a menu setting where you can select normally open or normally closed type footswitch
    And yes the footswitch have to be momentary otherwise you need to push twice
    In the menu you can select the following functions for the footswitch: Play (in this case if the player already playing back the footswich does nothing) or Play/Pause
