ParticipantHi! With the new firmware all the issues about audio playback (when there are midi associated with all songs) and gapless between songs are solved! But there is a new one issue…and is terrible for a live gigging situation!
When a song is playng at a certain point the utrack send the midi signal (in my case are program changes) probably when the next song of the playlist is preloaded! I have midi associated with all songs and they send only program changes at the biginning of every song (just after a measure the song starts)!
When i load a song it gives the program change even if i haven’t start playing it so i think that this is what happend, When a song is preloaded it gives the program change while the previous song is still playing!
Whit this issue the uTrack is still anusable in a live contest (whith midi….)9th December 2015 at 19:15 #26638Laszlo
KeymasterHi I tried to reproduce this issue with no success.
Can you please send me one email to support@cymaticaudio.com with detailes descreption (sample rate, channel count, midi or wav longer, playback mode etc) and if it is possible please include the songs as well.
We will handle this issue with high priority.23rd December 2015 at 20:46 #26686marco
ParticipantI have send you some songs that gives me that error! The problem is that sometime they give the program change (midi signal) before the previous song ends to be played and sometime no…the same songs!!! So I can’t understand which songs give the problems, when and why!!!
At the moment I can’t use the midi function in a live situation becouse I can’t know if the issue will happend or not!27th December 2015 at 21:21 #26692Laszlo

ParticipantHi! Any news about the new firmware?
9th February 2016 at 19:10 #26805Laszlo
KeymasterHi giusfredi,

Please find the firmware here: https://cymaticaudio.com/support/downloads8th March 2016 at 12:50 #26868marco
ParticipantHi Laszlo,
updated to the new firmware. Most of the issues is fixed but there are still (sometimes…random) the same problem when I play tracks from a playlist.
When I play tracks from a playlist the uTrack send the midi program change of the next song preloaded in the middle of the previous….that happend randomly…not all the time and not Always with the same songs.
I mean that with the same song playing (from a playlist) sometimes i get the error and sometimes not!?!
It seems that when you play songs from the folder everything is fine but when you play from a playlist sometimes something goes wrong…8th March 2016 at 14:33 #26870Laszlo
KeymasterHi giusfredi,
Sorry to hear that problem.
It would be really helpful if you able to share with us your content where you experienced the problems. I understand not reproducable all the time, but probably it makes some good start point to us for investigating the issue.
Please send the files to this email address: support@cymaticaudio.comThanks

ParticipantI will give you all you need…but the files are very large (every song is 24 track 44.1/24bit and in the playlist there are about 35 songs)…

9th March 2016 at 11:47 #26882Laszlo
KeymasterHello,
Many thanks for your messages.
I sent you the instructions in email.18th March 2016 at 23:47 #26942marco
ParticipantHi Laszlo, finally I have finisced to upload all the files in the multitrack folder (included playlist…”Pisolo” is the name) of my hard disk.
I hope you will find the issue and fix it!
As I told you in the previous messages when I play the songs from the playlist sometimes in the middle of the song (or about the end of it) the utrack send the program change of the next song in the playlist!
This is a big issue for me becouse I use program chenge for mixer cues (ch 1) and roland TD30 Patches (ch 2) and you can imagine how this is a problem during a live show!
In the future I would use midi to control light shows (a lights sequence for each song) and to change guitars FX Patches but this issue should be fixed before…
Many thanks
Marco
PS I send you an e-mail with all the dropbox link15th June 2016 at 17:32 #27136Chetan

KeymasterHi giusfredi, RuudNL,
Please copy the bcd file to your USB HDD, this should solve the issue. Probably the Flash drive drive is too slow?
If you still not able to update you can use the bcd file with network update method as well. https://cymaticaudio.com/images/downloads/manuals_and_brochures/uTrack24_FirmwareUpdate_EN.pdf
21st June 2016 at 18:13 #27169marco
ParticipantOK! Updated with the network method (on the pc it says there was an error but on the uTrack it says “update succesful”?)….
From a first and quick check seems everything to work fine…waiting to do a more in depth test!21st June 2016 at 18:38 #27170Laszlo
KeymasterIf your uTrack24 displayed the update was successfully you are on the safe side 🙂

ParticipantHi,
Sorry for the inconvenience with the update. We realized that the file name was not matching with what the uTrack24 is expecting.
It has been changed on the website and should work now.Of course you have already updated your device to 3474. If the USB drive has the same firmware(in the root drive) as the device, the update will not be prompted.
22nd June 2016 at 11:37 #27175Ruud van Steenis
ParticipantSo this means the firmware update (from an USB device) was never tested with this firmware release?…
22nd June 2016 at 11:54 #27176Chetan
ParticipantHi RuudNL,
The update was tested and verified.
Unfortunately the filename was changed just before uploading to the website to be consistent with older names. You see the network update does not care about the filename.
Our mistake…

ParticipantOK, that explains a lot! Thank you!

ParticipantI have a gig coming up soon and have many MIDI programs that I use from the U24. Could any one please let me know if the new firmware is safe to use now? Any updates on its progress? Right now I’m using the firmware just below the new one and when I use the playlist the mixer settings stay the same from the 1st song all the way through…as it doesn’t change on what we had set for each song. The mixer setting will only change to what we programmed it when we hit the stop button.
