    Hi,

I just received my UTRACK32 for my Behringer X32 compact. After some struggles (firmware update) it is recording, but the playback is problematic. There seems to be a routing problem somewhere between the UTRACK and the X32. When I playback, the recorded tracks are in the wrong order. The signals were recorded on channel 1 to 8, but when playback from the disk I need to route (in the X32) card 17 to 24 to get the recording in 1 to 8. I did the same with channel 9 to 16 and now I need to route (in the X32) card 25 to 32.
Recording i do on channel 17 to 32 can’t be routed. Before I send it back and buy another device, is there somebody who knows what’s wrong? I already did a factory reset of my X32 whitout any result

    Hi Bob,

The card itself cannot change the routing, the routing is only depends on the settings in your console menu.

To select the audio channels that you plan to record, go to the console’s menu “Routing” / “Card Out”. For example, to record the X32/M32 console’s analog inputs, select “Expansion card outputs 1-8” to “local 1-8”, and so on.

To configure the playback channels, go to the console’s menu “Routing” / “Home”. For example, to playback from USB harddisk to the mixing console’s local analog inputs, select “input 1-8” to “card 1-8”, and so on.

    Hi,

Thanks for your quick response. I have done this, but I found out by opening the MultiTrack .wav file in Audicity that the first 16 channels are not recorded. There is no audio data in there, only channel 17 and above. This will be the reason and not the routing. Now I have to find out why these channels are not recorded by Utrack

    Hi,

Found out that it has something to do with the use of the “digital snake” S32 which I am using. When I use the internal inputs (on the X32 compact) it is working like it should. When using the snake (s32), the input channels 1 to 8 are recorded as channel 17 to 24 (in the .wav) and channels 9 to 15 as 25 to 32. Every channel above 16 is not in the .wav anymore
