I have installed the Firmware 32bit on my LP 16. This is the only way it will work fine with Ableton 32 bit. But every time I restart my computer and the LP 16 I have to re-install the firmware. If I don’t, Ableton doesn’t recognize the LP 16 and my computer shuts off when I choose the LP 16 as audio device.
Can someone tell what’s going on or what I’m doing wrong4th July 2016 at 09:53 #27196
Do you have the 6.17 driver installed on your PC?
If you connect to the PC, on the mixer panel do you see the device connected properly?
The display on the LP-16 shows PC interface mode?4th July 2016 at 13:11 #27198
Thanks for your reply.
Do you have the 6.17 driver installed on your PC? Yes I have
If you connect to the PC, on the mixer panel do you see the device connected properly? It does
The display on the LP-16 shows PC interface mode? It also does
The interface seems to work well. I also hear the windows tune when I start up my PC. But when I start Ableton (32bit) it doesn’t regonize the audio driver and I have to choose the LP 16 as audio driver. Then the screen turns black and I haven to restart my computer.
When I first reinstall the firmware (32bit) on the LP 16 then there’s no problem.
I really don’t understand what’s going on.4th July 2016 at 16:52 #27199
The windows tune use WDM driver by default.
But for the Ableton, you need to use ASIO driver.
Your Ableton working with any other ASIO device?
If your LP-16 not connected to the PC, try to change to MME/DirectX in the “device type” drop down menu.
Connect the LP-16 and check the ableton found the LP-16 inputs and outputs-
Change the “device type” to ASIO and select the LP-16.
Exit from the Ableton, then start it again, and make sure it find the LP-16 as ASIO interface5th July 2016 at 13:40 #27202
I’ve always used ASIO driver for Ableton. But I did as you’ve advised and it’s working now.
When I start up Ableton it recognizes the LP 16 in and outputs.
