ParticipantI know the discussion of hard drives isn’t new here on the forum, but I’ve only seen a little bit about Raid drives, and I’m still not sure if they will work with Cymatic or not? I have the u-Track 24 and am currently using a 1TB Segate backup plus portable drive. I’ve only recorded one show with about 10 or 11 channels of use, but it seemed to pick everything up fine with no drop outs. Right now I’m seriously considering a Glyph drive, but I’d rather get the Glyph 4TB raid 0 or 1, instead of a straight hard drive so I could run raid 1 with the duplicate copy mode. This drive is touted as a great, professional, fast drive, but will it or any Raid drive work with the u-Track 24? Any info is appreciated. Marc Trainor

KeymasterHi marcbonnie777,
We just released a new firmware for uTrack24 which provide a support for G-Drives, Glyph drives and Glyph Raid drives.
We are tested with Glyph StudioRaid Mini works like a charm.
For detailed information please take a look for the changelog:

Participant:cheer: Thank you, thank you, and thanks again. That’s a really smart move in my book, because Glyph seems to be used by a lot of professionals, and to me the U-track 24 is a pro unit. Marc Trainor.

ParticipantI just thought of one more question on this, but I think it could be important. Your saying that the U-track 24 is tested with the “mini” Glyph raid drives, but what about the regular or desktop Glyph raid drives, specifically the Glyph Studio raid, 4TB, 7200 rpm model. Can you affirmatively say whether that drive works too, with the U-track?. Marc.

KeymasterIf the Studio Raid drive works similar like a Studio Raid Mini (detected as one single drive) this drive should work with uTrack24/uTrack-X32.
The fact we cannot test every HDD with our devices so we cannot guarantee all of this kind of drives working well, but from our perspective the only difference between this two drives are the size.15th January 2016 at 07:30 #26732Marc Trainor
ParticipantI’ve just been re-reading all the stuff on Glyph drives and your latest firmware updates. I know you announced the 3017 update, but all I can find is the 2913 firmware in your update section. Am I missing something here, too, or will the 2913 firmware update run the Glyph mini raid drives like you said you tested. ??? I don’t want to go buy the drive if I can’t get the right firmware update for it. Sincerely, Marc Trainor. I’m using the uTrack 24.
