I do a lot of live concert recording and I’m looking for an option for redundancy. Does the uTrack-X32 allow you to record to a usb hard drive while also using it as an interface, or is a one or the other type of situation?

Not possible to use interface mode and USB recorder mode in the same time, you need to decide which mode do you prefer.

Thank you for the quick reply. What a bummer. Definitely a deal killer. Do you know if the uTrack 24 is the same way?

Yes from this perspective the uTrack24 working same way.
But in the uTrack24 you can use digital input expansion cards where relatively easy to loop thru the input signal to another uTrack24 which provide redundancy.
