Hi, I bought two LP-16 devices for a live show. I use the second one as backup. I tried to start both devices simultaneously by using one footswitch connected to both footswitch inputs. After starting the device, they never start excat at the same time. A delay at about 30-60ms is always there.
How can I start both devices in sync?
Thanks a lot!

There’s no sync feature implemented in the LP-16. The starting time depend on the source storage material, as well, please use the same drive for both two device.
Please also make sure, both two device updated to the latest firmware release (83926).
Do you trying to playback in stand alone or playlist mode?22nd April 2016 at 10:33 #27005Martin GrimmParticipant
Thanks for the quick answer. I did the upgrade, I am also using the same USB devices with excat the same files and have tried it in single and playback mode, but it makes no difference.
I guess using the footswitch input will always have some milliseconds of latency even if the devices are excact the same. There are too many random factors why both systems start differently.
Our show is not working with just I single playback device. It is necessary to have a backup device 🙁27th April 2016 at 13:10 #27019
I know that not solution with your current gear, but if you need a sync devices, you can do this soon with the uTrack24. We just planning to introduce this feature with the coming firmware release. With this setup you can have up to 4 synced device.11th May 2016 at 12:41 #27065Perry De GennaroParticipant
Laszlo, will we ever be able to sync 2 LP-16’s together…. these devices are PERFECT but we all need a way to make our systems redundant… please please please make it happen 🙂11th May 2016 at 13:22 #27066
I fully understand your needs.
This feature already added as user feature request, the developers need to review this topic. At the moment the team focusing on the uTrack24 features.
Actually this sync feature quiet difficult on the LP-16 because there’s no dedicated sync and/or network connector, so the communication between the devices not that easy. To make a sync happens not enough to transfer the start signal from one device to the another because you can do that with the footswich today, the clocks have to be in sync as well and the two device have to wait to each other to make happen the sample accurate start.
Thank you for your input.11th May 2016 at 13:29 #27067Perry De GennaroParticipant
I totally understand that Laszlo… I suppose it would be possible using the midi out and in somehow…
Even if the start was delayed for a second or two while the units synchronised at the beginning of each song would be fine.
