ParticipantLaszlo:
Thanks for contacting me this morning. I have followed your somewhat limited instructions to the letter and I cannot manage to create any sort of file, playlist, or playback program that the LP-16 player will accept. The downloads and online user’s manual, version 1.0.1, to which I was referred appear to be for the uTrack24 and not the LP-16 player. Even after following the instructions, I cannot get even one song to transfer to a thumb drive and ultimately play in the LP-16 player. Before I ordered this unit, I carefully read all of the hype on the internet and was under the impression that all I had to do was load up a bunch of .mid or .wav files onto a thumb drive, insert it into the slot and, VOILA, there would be all of my songs from which to choose (much like the Roland players or the Cakewalk Sonic V-Studio 100). Obviously the Cymatic LP-16 is far more complicated than the Rolands and for this I am very disappointed.
I really would like to be able to use this unit, but because of its complexity, this does not appear possible.
Is there anyway you can double check the downloads for accuracy and/or possibly walk me through the process from start to finish before I throw in the towel and send the unit back for a refund?
Many thanks

ParticipantI have been using Roland VS series harddisks for 15 years and believe me, the LP-16 IS much simpler. The basic thing is that you have to create songs and playlists on your local drive and THEN export it to your USB unit.

ParticipantHi,
uTool is a software that works for both LP-16 and uTrack. First things to do with the uTool for your device is to change the target device. In uTool go to “Settings” tab and choose the Target Device as LP-16.
Once you have done that you can follow the user manual to create multi-track songs and playlists. The manual also tells in detail on how to export songs to a USB drive.
For example, new multitrack songs can be created in the Export tab of the tool. (Export -> Multitack Songs -> Add new song).
If you still have problem with creating songs for LP-16, please send your details (phone, skype) to support@cymaticaudio.com and we will contact you.
