    Hello,
I’m very intersted about your LP-16 device and I have looked for every kind of information about it but I haven’t understood whether it’s possible to sync an external laptop (connected to a soundcard with MIDI ports) which runs Cubase (with projects containing bot audio tracks and videos).
Are Midi Sync and Midi Time Code available in the LP-16?
Is there any other way to do this?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

There’s no sync option for LP-16 and unfortunately the device does not sends out Midi time code.
But you can use the LP-16 as a USB interface in this case where you connect to your PC you’ll see 16 out/2 in audio interface and midi I/O interface as well.
ps: The USB interface mode and USB host mode (playback from USB drive) does not available in the same time.

    Hello Laszlo,

In the description of the LP-16 /https://cymaticaudio.com/products/recorders-players/live-player-lp16) there’s written that “It is perfect for…. triggering synthesizers or samplers, driving light shows and controlling devices. “.
Can you please explain how it can trigger external devices as described above?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

In USB host mode (playback from USB drive) the midi can contain sysex and/or controller changes as well. Eg Many user using Midi to dmx converter to trigger lights on the stage

And it is works flawless! You can manage and perform an entire show from LP-16 including audio playback syncing to DMX controlled light systems.

I want to use my LP-16 with my Analog Rytm drum machine. When I press play on LP 16 I want that midi signal to start the sequencer of my Analog Rytm. Is that possible?

    Hi,

You can include one midi song together with the multitrack song then in the midi song you can have sysex data and controller data as well. If your drum machine can be triggered by midi commands in this case this can be a solution for you.

    Hi audioworksHU

Any chance you could advise how to achieve this?
Could I get any MIDI-DMX converter and just hook DMX Lights without DMX controller?
What is most practical way to program lighting ques/midi file?
    Many thanks

To get the idea check this great MIDI to DMX tutorial video:

In general, YES. However it depends on the exact model and specification. To check the compatibility consult your DMX equipment documentation.
