Have you ever wondered how extremely effective individuals get a lot performed in a day? With call, e-mails, texts, social networks, etc., it’s challenging to remain focused, but it can be done. Focus on staying focused. Focus and concentration doesn’t come naturally for lots of people – it’s a skill to be established, and you’ll improve at it the more you do it. One popular way to remain focused is to sector your day into blocks of time for various jobs. For instance, block out an hour early in the morning to inspect and react to emails. Then shut out the next hour to get office jobs done. Specify about what you want to achieve, and set a clock or timer for a specific amount of time to do it in.
The Pomodoro Method ® is a time management approach created by Italian Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. When Cirillo was studying at university, he fought with attempting to complete his school tasks and stop losing time. He observed a cooking area timer shaped like a red tomato, and started setting the timer in 25 minute increments. He called each 25-minute session a “pomodoro.”.
Cirillo noticed that when he segmented his jobs into 25 minute intervals – and understood that the timer was ticking – he was better able to stay concentrated and on task. He improved The Pomodoro Method ®, and now travels the world teaching it to individuals. All you need is a timer, a pen and paper.
Wake up previously. Take advantage of technology. There are many applications (apps) on the marketplace created to help busy individuals work more efficiently and block out distractions. Rescue Time is an app that works on your computer and records how you spend your time, so you can make better browsing decisions.

Hire others to do it for you. Another quality of successful individuals is they do not waste time on tasks that aren’t a priority and/or others can do. Analyze how you spend your time, and if it’s worth it, hire it out. Consider hiring a cleaning service as soon as a week, or automating your grocery shopping with websites such as Stop & Shop’s Peapod service or Amazon’s Subscribe and Conserve.
