ParticipantHello all,
I’m new to the LP16, I’d like to know how you both are working the output level of your tracks ?
Do you manage to work output level of each tracks to aim the same level (0 or -1db for example)
or do you let the same level set in your DAW Mixer when you set the song?I use Cubase to record tracks.
My goal is to avoid keeping touching the Mixing desk during the show…
I guess that if I have the same level on each tracks for each songs, when I set the soundcheck, it would be aproaximatly good?Inputs are welcome.

Hello LoneRock,
I use the mixer feature in the main editor which works well in a -db fashion on each individual track. ie., if you’ve your drums on two mono tracks (dual stereo) on tracks one and two and you find they’re a little loud in the mix compared to all the other outputs, just drop the faders down 2 or 3 db, then save your mixer settings and then the song, then output the song again to the USB stick, etc…
Hope this helps,

ParticipantThat’s an awful time-lose function…
I can’t figure Cymatic don’t implement any internal mixer function. In rehearsal conditions, this is a big problem…
Please Cymatic, we need a mixer function in real time internal to the LP-16… :unsure:23rd November 2016 at 13:51 #27571Laszlo
KeymasterThe coming uTool version will have multitrack output feature. With this you’ll able to connect your LP-16 in interface mode were you can use the multitrack output from the uTool before you export the song to the drive. With this you’ll able to change the mixer parameters on the fly. If you made the proper mixer settings you just need to export to the drive.

Thank you for answer.
It looks like the needing to have a computer near LP-16 during rehearsals, isn’t it?
I’d rather have an internal mixer to tweak my tracks and write those settings in memory of the LP-16. Do you plan to implement this feature?23rd November 2016 at 16:37 #27573Laszlo
KeymasterAs the LP-16 has very limited controls and limited display size/resolution and not that much CPU power left in this case unfortunately there’s not that much chance to implement that into the LP-16.
During rehearsal with a notebook which has much better display/controls it will provide a really fast access for changing mixer parameters.25th November 2016 at 04:25 #27582Alix PARE

I’m not sure to understand.
Do you tell me that I can use LP-16 as audiocard in real time with the USB stick containing audio tracks plugged into my laptop?
In this case, does it mean I can use MIXER from uTool in real time? And if yes, each tracks still there own physical output?25th November 2016 at 10:51 #27583Laszlo
KeymasterThere’s two different way to use the LP-16 with the new uTool.
1. You have the content in uTool on your PC/MAC, you can connect the LP-16 as USB interface then you can use each individual output to set up the mixer levels etc. once you ready then you can export the content to the drive.
2. You have a PC where you have no the source files but you have the USB drive with the content. You need to install the uTool on the PC/MAC connect the LP-16 as USB interface, connect the USB drive with the content to your MAC/PC. Use the “target editor” to set up the mixer levels and playlist order on the drive. In both two cases you can use the LP-16 multichannel output to set up the levels on each output like where the LP-16 playing back the song from the USB drive.

My actual version of uTool display “BETA” and the number version is 2.0..034.
If I try to install the 1.1.46 version available on your website, my unzip app return me an error message. The archive looks corrupted. I downloaded it 3 times with the same issue…
Is there any other version of uTool?25th November 2016 at 16:54 #27587Laszlo
KeymasterI am talking about the coming uTool version. v2.0.04x
What OS do you have?
What is the error message?Could you please try to download in your browser with “save link as” or “save as” ?

Oh, sorry. Thaks for precisions.
What OS do you have?
I’m using Windows 8.1 64bits.
What is the error message?
I’m using 7ZIP:
“uTool_Installer_1.1.46_Win.zip couldn’t open as an archive”
Not sure about the translation because my OS is in French language and of course, my 7ZIP too.
Could you please try to download in your browser with “save link as” or “save as” ?
That’s the way I do.
In fact, I think there’s a problem on your website.
After logged in, I go to https://cymaticaudio.com/products/recorders-players/live-player-lp16
Then clic on “Download” tab.
If I clic directly on the “Windows logo” to download the file, I have a 404 error message.
The link shown by my Firefox is https://cymaticaudio.com/images/downloads/drivers_and_firmware/uTool_Installer_1.1.46_Win.zip
But If I download it via “right-clic > Save target link as” I have a *.zip file but it’s only 2Ko.Can you please tell us a date for availability of your new uTool?

To get the latest uTool use the following method:
Log In with your user ID > Support Tab > Downloads > Software Tools > uTool > uTool v1.1.47 / uTool v2.0.3426th November 2016 at 16:19 #27593Alix PARE
ParticipantThat’s ok now for 1.1.47, but it looks really bugged, isn’t it?
I’m so disappointed by changes in the GUI compared to the 2.0.034 beta version…
Also, this v1.1.47 has crashed two times a hour. 🙁26th November 2016 at 16:30 #27594Alix PARE

Actually, if I’m browsing location containing my audio files for one multitrack song, uTool can see only one audio file…
Settings are ok, but I can’t hear any sound while trying to play the lonely audio file shown in the GUI (Multitrack Song Settings > Clic on the play button in the audiofile lane)… re
Same issue in the mixer view… re-re
Aoutch… Looks like I must still the Beta version until new one available… :S1st December 2016 at 16:53 #27623Rusty
ParticipantCan you please give us an estimate of when the 2.0.04 will be available…We have a big stage gig coming up and I would love to get real time levels edited at rehearsal ASAP so the FOH engineer doesn’t just sit on our tracks mix and not correct volume of tracks correctly. please oh please say later today!! :woohoo:
