It is a little difficult for us to recommend a particular drive because the manufacturer might change the internal controllers at their discretion. Please read the FAQ https://cymaticaudio.com/support/faq to get a little more info about this.
In general there have been only a few drives with which we have seen problems. If there is a lot of vibration during a live scenario, some of the hard drives put their heads in a parking position for a while, causing stalls and dropouts. Please do a long recording with your intended drive and then use it in the live scenario.
As a rule of thumb, we would not recommend using flash/thumb drives for recording.
