Hi – is it possible to format a USB stick on a uTrack24 and use that stick for building a set with a uTool for LP-16, or is uTrack24 using a special format for the stick? My LP-16 is currently in the tour bus and would love to do an update for our backing tracks, and cannot format the stick appropriately on my Mac… however, I’ve got a uTrack24 here. Ok?
Update: according to basic logic, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work, if both machines use similar basis for USB device formats. However, only soundcheck will tell the truth.
Yes all of the Cymatic Audio devices are using the same file system on the USB drive. FAT32 64k allocation unit size (cluster size) If you have a application on your computer which provides you an option to set 64k cluster size for FAT32 file system, in this case you can even format on your computer.
