ParticipantHi.
I just installed the new version of uTool and keeps crashing….. Any reports on similar problem?17th March 2017 at 01:24 #28142Philippe Cailleau
ParticipantHi,
Can you tell me when it is crashing? Are you able to launch the application?
A crash report feature has been added in uTool, it is preparing an email with the report file attached during a launch following a crash. Then you just have to send it to give us useful information to fix the problem.
If uTool is crashing when you launch it, please delete the file “uTool2CrashReport.txt” that should be located in Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataCymatic Audio uTool2CrashLog (on Windows) or ~/Library/Cymatic Audio uTool2/CrashLog (on Mac). Then check your email setting, the crash could be caused when uTool is trying to setup the email.
Best regards,

ParticipantHey Phil.
It just shuts down and there’s no crash report window or anything. The two or three times it happened, I think I was in the mixing window. I’ll check for crash file later today.2nd June 2017 at 00:27 #28450Paolo Torquati
Participantall I can find is the report that comes after the crash. See attached file

KeymasterFrom the crash log we cannot see exactly what happened.
Could you please provide us some details, how to reproduce this crash?4th August 2017 at 20:38 #28691Paolo Torquati
Participantit occurs when I’m about to export tracks or playlists to the usb stick. The second I hit the “export” button, the program shuts down.
I’ve re-installed the software several times but with the same outcome.7th August 2017 at 10:43 #28701Laszlo
KeymasterHi,
We are going to fix this issue with the coming version. In the meantime please export the content to your local drive and copy the content to your USB drive using file browser on your computer.

KeymasterHi,
Thank you for your feedback.
Please download the demo material from here: https://cymaticaudio.com/demo/
Copy the related content to your USB drive, use the import function in uTool to import the content to your computer.
Once done, please export the content to your USB drive.
Maybe some content on your computer causes this crash, maybe the track or song name or the midi file etc.
If you have no crash with the demo content we can step further.27th September 2017 at 08:05 #28914Paolo Torquati
ParticipantHey Laszlo.
I found out that it was certain playlists that created the crash. I just updated to the latest version so we’ll see if it still occurs.
