ParticipantI was wondering if anyone has been successful using an external drive to store The audio and project folders for UTOOL. (UTOOL itself being stored on computers internal drive)
I have tried many times to do this but half the time UTOOL can’t find the audio files and the rest of the time when I export from UTOOL to a USB for playback the USB when inserted into the UTRACK comes up with the message (NO SONGS IN FOLDER)
Any ideas would be wonderful thank you.Charlie

KeymasterHi Charlie,
half the time UTOOL can’t find the audio files
Most likely your drive had a different drive letter. You can set up a fix drive letter for your source USB drive under the windows disk management utility or you need to select the proper location under the uTool settings again and again.
I would suggest to set up the uTool project library to your local drive.the rest of the time when I export from UTOOL to a USB for playback the USB when inserted into the UTRACK comes up with the message (NO SONGS IN FOLDER)
I assume those songs are located in subfolders in your uTool and not in the root folder (mulitrack songs)
Please use the folder button on the uTrack24 to select the subfolder where your songs located on your USB drive13th April 2019 at 15:11 #46890charlie

KeymasterHi
Please take a look at the user manual 3.1.2 Moving projects between computers section (page 11)
