    Updated to Utool 2
I have a folder with my audiofiles. In Settings Audio file library is set to this folder.
Go to home page .Click add new stereo tracks . It opens up the Add Stereo Songs.
But I cannot drag and drop audiofiles into it . I get the little stop-sign.
    ??
it seems like I cannot Create LP-16 songs from already existing folders.
I have to use the import function and thus creating copies of the audiofiles in a new folder that Utool creates ?

I understand the idea of keeping audio and Utool files in the same folder but this is a bit confusing.

BUT after doing the import letting Utool createfolders itself all of a sudden the “Add new songs work” I can drag and drop audiofiles from anywhere into Utool.
But, the audiofile does not end up in the same audiofile folder specified by Utool . it creates a new subfolder within the already existing subfolder
So I used the Move function .
But then the Songprj. file belonging to the audiofile ended up in the audiofiles folder and not in in its “ususal place” amongst the other .songprj files

Also, the rename function of folders in Utool , if I want to rename my new audiofolder – does not automatically update the pathways of the songprj. files. Utool can’t find the Stereosongs. You have to redo import.

In the old version I pointed to an audio folder in Settings and then I could just add songs/audiofiles from there

in the old version there was a small preview function where you could play back a Stereo song and even set a volume for it if needed
But that is gone now ?

Anyway, when I was done and ready to export to my usb drive (used before on Lp 16, works fine) :
    Utool crashed.
It sent a crash log to you.

    Regards
    Christer

Aha . Found out I need to export the thing to local drive and then copy it all to the usb drive.
It seems like I just have to wait for a new version and use the old Utool meanwhile ?

This means the file not compatible with uTool. This can be because not a stereo file or not a wav file or sample rate/bit dept not correct or you are using floating format instead of signed wav format.

No as you have player only device you don’t need to use import function. The import function can be used import content (mainly recording) from your USB drive to your computer

    Default File Locations
    Project Library:
Specifies the default path where uToolwill save the song and playlist projects(.prj files).
The project files contain the location of source wave files and other details for a given project.

    Audio File Library:
When importing recordings for uTrack devices, the song folder with mono wave files is created inside the Audio File Library folder. When creating song projects from the Home tab in uTool, by default the content of this folder is shown for selection.
It is recommended to have all your source wave files inside the Audio File Library folder.
