ParticipantUTRACK24, Firmware 1779, Bootloader 1650
Hi everybody,
i have major problems and im stucked..
Its impossible for me to record in 24bit, cause i have dropouts (even when recording only 8 Tracks). I tried every harddisk in my Studio (Toshiba, Maxtor,…..) booth types (HDD and SSD) and every USB-Stick (I know it is not recommended). Always the same dropouts…. For the recordingsession i reduced bitrate to 16bit and solved the problem, but i want to change to 24bit. I think you know why.
My thought was: Ok first update the firmware, maybe thats the solution. I have an old Firmware version Firmware 1779 so it is not possible to update via the front USB-Slot to the actual Firmware 4064. Damm no.1:(
Ok lets try to update to the Firmware 3124 first. via USB-Connection. In the manual page 4 is written: “download the USB Updater Application”, cant find it in the DOWNLOAD-Section. Damm no.2 ๐
next try: update via Network connection failed too. My uTrack24 shows always the same I.P.Adress 0.0.0.0.
I tried 3 Computers (Win 7, Win 2000, Win 2000) and different Cat5/Network-Cables, differnt ports, nothing changed Damm no.3 ๐
Now i dont see a way for using my uTrack24 in a professional enviroment, i have no idea how to solve my problem.
Any suggesions how to update or a recommondation for a specific harddrive for recording 24 Tracks in 24 Bit

KeymasterHi,
Yes the dropouts can be caused because you have a very first production firmware on the device.
Please connect your uTrack24 to a wifi router, connect your computer to the same router, and connect Android or iOS device using wifi to the same router. Start the Fing application on your mobile which will tell you the IP address of your device.
Type that IP address to your computer webbrowser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari preferred) then use the 4064 bcd file to update.13th December 2017 at 22:26 #29232Mark Schwarzmayr
ParticipantThanks for the answer. I tried everything and it worked. Now my uTrack24 is updated and all my harddisks are working 24 bit/24 Track, nice. I did a 3 Hour Testrecording without dropouts.
This might be helpful for other users:
TRY TO CONNECT TO A ROUTER via CAT5e Cable, do not connect Laptop/Computer and uTrack24 direct, cause the recorder will not get an I.P. Adress. That differs from the manual.
Correct me ifยดm wrong.

KeymasterSorry but you are wrong ๐
The uTrack uses auto IP, so with no router or switch between it should have an IP address unless if your computer uses static IP.
But to put a router between definitely does not hurt.11th March 2018 at 01:01 #29529vogoos
ParticipantIs it work like a https://mobile-spy-apps.com mobile recorder on Android?
