ParticipantHi there,
I exported a multi-channel song through uTool to my LP-16P using 7 channels. All the files are fine, put the output from the LP-16 is just white noise.
Everything seems fine – creating the song in uTool, playback on the mixer in uTool is ok, exports with out errors. It is only when played on the LP-16 that the problem occurs. I have exported the song individually and as part of a playlist, LP-16 recognises the song on the USB, but result is the same in playback – solid static noise that doesn’t relate to the content of the song.
Can you help? Thanks m

KeymasterHi mcloughlin,
Can you tell me please the firmware version on your LP-16?
Do you have a same problem with any song? Stereo and multitrack as well?
Do you hear this white noise from any output and or the headphones output as well?17th January 2016 at 17:04 #26736michael
ParticipantHi Laszlo,
Sorry for the delay replying. It’s the most recent firmware version: 83926.
I’ve the same problem from all outputs, including headphones. It’s clear when I preview in Utool and seems to export correctly.
It may help… I do hear some of the recorded sound, but it’s hardly audible in the noise.

ParticipantI experience the same. The mono tracks all contain a lot of white noise as soon as I hit the play button on the LP 16. What can be done about this?

ParticipantHi Laszlo,
I just emailed yo a dropbox link to Wav two files…. before and after export. In my case the noise is in the files after export.
Thanks,

KeymasterThank you for the files.
It seems the source files are 32bit floating format, this cause the issue in uTool, even the 32bit signed format works well.
We can solve this issue with uTool update, until this please re-export those files in different format. You can use the eg the Audacity, open the files then select the export and select 16/24/32 bit signed wav file for output format, then create a new song in the uTool with the new source files. Thanks for the heads up!

KeymasterHi mo267,
The problem occuour when the source files are 32bit format.
Somehow you need to change from 32bit to 24 or 16bit before you create new MultiTrack song in uTool.
There’s a free audio editor application: https://audacityteam.org/
With this application you need to open your 32 bit wav files(s) then click on the File/Export tab and select wav (16 or 24bit) for output format from the drop down menu.
Use this file(s) to create new multitrack song in the uTool, then re-export your song(s) from the uTool to your USB storage. - AuthorPosts
