ParticipantDon’t change or have the option of not changing the recording form (ie 24 bit to 16 bit) when changing flash media cards.) I’ve been using CF UDMA 7 cards rated at a minimum of 65mps minimum transfer and have never had a dropout. So it is very annoying to have to reset from 16 bit to 24 bit every time I change cards. Just leave the user settings alone.
Show available time left on the recording media in the app. I think is even says remaining time, but it really is giving the length of the last recorded track, as if I was going to play it back. It is very disconcerting to stop the recorder and be told you only have 2 minutes and 36 seconds, or what ever, in time remaining when there is plenty of space on the media.
Have at least the option in uTool transfer to preserve the original recording date. All my projects are filed by date, and it is pretty much standard that video and audio recorders do this.
On a side note, I recently found that uTool would not extract all of the channels on my last two recorded tracks. I was not amused. However I was able to extract them in Audacity which had know trouble reading all the uTrack24 files.

ParticipantAny on else using Flash media for recording in 24 bit mode?
Flash media is getting faster all the time. Having uTrack24 switch out of 24 bit to 16 bit automatically , when there is plenty of band width available is annoying, takes control away from the professional operator and throws impediments in the way of what should be a smooth recording.
Can we at least have a setting in options that prevents the down grade to 16-bit by the uTrack firmware.

KeymasterHi wolftraks,
Thank you for your input.
The coming firmware release for uTrack24 does not change the cannel count and resolution automatically.
Keep the recording date during importing with uTool already in added to our bugtracker, this should be fixed in the next version.
Can you describe some more details about the problem where the uTool not extract all of the channels of your recording? What was your recording configuration, how many and which channels are missing etc? - AuthorPosts
